All new 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R. Now more Sportier than ever.

Hero MotoCorp is upping its performance segment with new products and updates for existing ones.

Hero Xtreme 160R to get new 4V engine, USD fork The video reveals a 4V sticker on the Xtreme 160R’s belly pan, which means that the engine will have a 4-valve configuration. This will be a change from the current 2-valve engine, which should boost the Xtreme 160R’s performance, especially at higher rpm. The current bike’s 2-valve, 163cc engine is known for its spirited performance in the city with good low and mid-range power and this new 4-valve engine should make it more agile at higher speeds as well.

A previous spy photo that has been spreading online also showed an oil-cooler, which implies that this new engine will have better cooling than the old air-cooled engine. It is not known yet if Hero will change the displacement of the existing 163cc engine or not.

Another visible change in the Hero Xtreme 160R will be a USD fork, which will replace the current bike’s telescopic fork. This might add to the bike’s weight as the main frame will have to be altered. Another possible feature that could be added is Bluetooth connectivity, as some of its rivals like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Yamaha FZS-FI have it.

The Hero Xtreme 160R is currently priced between Rs. 1.18 lakh-1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). All these changes might result in a price increase of around Rs. 8,000-10,000.
