Explore the stylish all-black design with olive green accents, advanced features, and a glimpse of what to expect from this upcoming entry-level SUV.

Inside the Hyundai Exter: Official Cabin Reveal Sets the Stage for an Exciting Launch

Indian automobile enthusiasts are buzzing with excitement as Hyundai gears up for its highly anticipated launch of the Exter, an upcoming entry-level SUV that will take its place below the popular Venue in the lineup. Hyundai has recently unveiled the much-awaited cabin of the Exter, offering a tantalizing glimpse into what's in store for prospective buyers.

Built on the foundation of the successful Grand i10 NIOS platform, the Exter's interior showcases a similar layout, ensuring a sense of familiarity. Embracing a sleek and modern aesthetic, the cabin boasts an elegant all-black design with tasteful olive green accents. Notably, the front seats proudly bear the distinctive 'Exter' monikers, adding a touch of exclusivity to the overall ambience.

Hyundai has taken a step further to enhance the driving experience by equipping the Exter with a digital driver display, setting it apart from its Grand i10 NIOS counterpart. However, for those who appreciate a classic touch, the base variants might still offer the traditional analogue dials. As expected from the renowned Hyundai brand, the Exter will come loaded with an array of cutting-edge features, showcasing the brand's commitment to providing an unparalleled driving experience.

Enthusiasts can expect a host of exciting features, including an 8.0-inch infotainment screen, seamless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the convenience of wireless phone chargers. The Exter will also offer a range of advanced features, such as an automatic climate control system, automatic headlamps, cruise control, and a sunroof.

When it comes to safety, the Exter leaves no room for compromise. Standard safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts, providing occupants with peace of mind on every journey. With a wheelbase of 2,450mm and a height of 1,631mm, the Exter positions itself as a formidable competitor in the market, offering a slightly longer wheelbase and greater height compared to the Tata Punch.

From a design perspective, the Exter exudes a captivating SUV-like appearance with its boxy silhouette. At the rear, the H-shaped LED inserts in the tail lamp create a distinctive and eye-catching look. Accentuating the design, a black band on the tailgate proudly houses the iconic Hyundai logo. The muscular appeal continues with a robust-looking faux silver skid plate positioned within the black body cladding on the lower portion of the rear bumper, complemented by reflectors on the upper corners.

Under the hood, the Exter is expected to house a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, delivering a power output of 83 PS and torque of 114 Nm. A standard 5-speed manual gearbox will be available, with the possibility of an optional 5-speed AMT. For higher variants, Hyundai may offer a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, already popular in the Venue model.

When it comes to competition, the Exter will face off against other sub-compact SUVs such as the Tata Punch and Citroen C3. It will also encounter competition from lower-spec, naturally-aspirated variants of compact SUVs like the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.

As anticipation builds for the official launch, automotive enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of the Hyundai Exter, eager to experience the blend of style, features, and performance that this upcoming SUV promises to deliver.
