The waiting period for the electric version of the Mahindra XUV400 is about six months. Mahindra is positioning its top-spec variant for delivery first. In contrast, the dispatch of the base-spec variant will commence from Diwali.
Mahindra XUV400 is an all-electric version of the Mahindra XUV300 and is available in two motor pack options. In the FY23 press meeting, the company confirmed the open booking for several Mahindra SUVs and the waiting period. The waiting period for the all-electric XUV400 is about six months from the booking date.
Further, the leading automaker said it had received about 23,000 (as of May 1) bookings for its all-new electric SUV. About 4,000 units are successfully dispatched to customers, which is 18% of the total booking for Mahindra XUV400.
Mahindra announced the ex-showroom price of XUV400 in mid-January 2023. It commenced bookings for this model on January 26 this year, while the deliveries started from May last week. The automaker has positioned deliveries for top-spec models on a priority basis. In comparison, the deliveries for base-spec EC models will commence from Diwali.
This upcoming electric SUV gets two battery pack options: 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh. The base variant, EC trim, offers a maximum range of 375 km, while the top-spec (EL) variant gives a 456 km maximum range. Both electric SUVs are fitted with a single electric model that packs rated 150PS and 310Nm.
Talking about features, the all-new Mahindra XUV400 features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electronic stability control, rear camera setup, electric sunroof, push button for start and stop, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support.
Mahindra XUV400 is still available with the ex-showroom price of Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh. This electric SUV from Mahindra is likely to compete with top rivals like Tata Nexon EV Max.
