Tata Motors is making plans to make this festive season more memorable for Indian customers. The brand has announced a massive discount campaign on its popular cars across the portfolio. All these additional discounts will be featured with the GST 2.0 benefits and other festive bonanzas. As the festive season is coming ahead, the brand has extended the discount worth up to Rs 2 lakh on Tata Safari, Nexon, and many more.
The initiative is set to make personal mobility more affordable for a wide spectrum of Indian buyers, amplifying the festive cheer and accelerating vehicle purchases this season. With the revised GST rates effective September 22, Tata Motors’ savings include direct price reductions of up to Rs 1.55 lakh and additional festive benefits, bringing total savings up to Rs 2 lakh, depending on the model and variant, till September 30, 2025.
GST 2.0: Transforming Car Affordability
As per the latest GST tax reforms, cars are now more affordable than before. According to the implementation of the latest GST 2.0 reforms, the petrol cars with engine capacity around 1200 cc and diesel cars with engine capacity around 1500 cc will be priced under the 18% tax slab, featuring sub-4 meters in dimensions. Beyond these engine classifications, the car will be priced at 40% GST with no additional tax slab.
Tata Motors has passed on the full benefit to customers, making its cars and SUVs exceptionally accessible. This bold move aligns with government efforts to boost personal mobility and stimulate the automotive sector ahead of the festive period. The brand’s PR team and dealership network are driving consumer excitement, urging buyers to act swiftly for delivery during this limited period.

Tata Motors’ discount program covers its entire passenger lineup, ensuring that both entry-level and premium products benefit. Key highlights include:
1. Models like Punch, Nexon, and Harrier have seen a reduction in some variants more than the effect of the GST 2.0 change.
2. Tata Punch at 5.49 Lakhs is the same price at which it was launched in 2021.
3. The post-GST 2.0 pricing of the Tiago at 4.57 Lakhs is lower than the price of the 2020 Tiago at launch.
4. Harrier and Safari AdventureX Trims (fully feature-loaded variants), which were launched in August 2025, were already competitively priced, offering significant customer value. With the GST 2.0 reduction and the additional benefits, these products now present an even better value proposition than before.
5. Nexon Creative at 9.99 Lakhs offers a fully feature-loaded package with features like a 360° HD Surround View System, R16 Alloy Wheel, Push Button Start, FATC, Touch-Based Control Panel, 26.03 cm HARMAN™ Touchscreen Infotainment, LED Head Lamps, and a cooled glove box.
