Tata is all set to launch the Tata Tiago EV on September 28 and the rumors are ripe that the car will get a multi-mode regen braking system and cruise control.
Tata has revealed that the Tiago EV hatchback would be equipped with Multi-Mode Regenerative Braking, cruise control, and Sports Mode. The electric hatchback will be on sale on September 28 and will be the brand's most cost-effective EV.
The third Tata EV will include multi-mode regen braking, which was initially introduced with the Nexon EV Max and later expanded to include the Nexon EV Prime. It is now unavailable with the Tigor EV, but it may be expected shortly, as it is available with other other EVs in Tata's lineup. The greatest regen level aids in single-pedal driving by allowing users to recharge batteries while driving.
Another feature that the Tigor EV lacks that the Tiago EV will have is cruise control. A drive selection dial with Sports Mode will also be available for the hatchback.

Tata has yet to reveal the Tiago EV's specifications, although it is believed to share the Tigor EV's base and powertrain. The electric vehicle is now available with two powertrains: one for individual purchasers and another for fleet operators on the XPres-T.
The Tiago EV might have the entry-level motor seen in the XPres-T, which generates 41hp and 105Nm of torque, as well as a 21.3kWh battery pack with a stated range of 213km. The battery can be charged in 1 hour and 50 minutes using a 15kW DC fast charger. The electric hatchback might also be equipped with the Tigor EV's Ziptron motor, which generates 75hp and 170Nm of torque and is powered by a bigger 26kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 306km. This battery pack can be charged in 1 hour and 5 minutes using a more powerful 25kW DC fast charger.
The soon-to-be-released Tiago EV will have the same appearance as the ICE-powered Tiago today. The interior will, however, have some blue highlights like to those on Tigor and Nexon EV. It's interesting to note that the Tigor EV features a dual battery pack, one of which is located in the trunk. How Tata will assemble the battery pack in the EV hatchback is yet unknown.
The Tiago EV is anticipated to cost Rs 1 lakh less than the Tigor EV; a comparable pricing difference is seen between their ICE-powered equivalents. According to our sources, some dealers are taking unofficial reservations for the Tiago EV even though Tata hasn't started taking deliveries yet.
