The newly launched Fronx is the sixth product after the Maruti and Toyota became partners. The automaker has commenced the bookings for the all-new Taisor via online and offline dealerships now. Toyota Taisor Vs Maruti Fronx: Engine and Power Output
Both Toyota Taisor and Maruti Fronx share the powertrain options which include a 1.2 litre 4 cylinder NA engine that churns out the maximum power of 90 hp and a peak torque of 113 Nm of torque. Another engine option offered with both compact SUVs is a 1-litre turbo petrol unit which generates a maximum power of 100 hp and a peak torque of 147 Nm. The 1.2 litre NA unit comes paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT unit. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine comes coupled with a 6-speed manual and automatic torque converter unit in both Taisor and Fronx.

The new Toyota Taisor gets most of the features offered in the Maruti Fronx. Both compact SUVs come with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play, LED headlamps with DRLs, OTA updates, 6 6-speaker audio system, a push start/stop button, Cruise Control, heads-up display, adjustable steering wheel and semi-digital instrument cluster. Safety features of both the compact SUVs include 6 airbags, an electronic stability program, ISOFIX mounts for child safety, ABS with EBD and hill-hold assist.
Toyota Taisor Vs Maruti Fronx: Exterior Differences
Essentially being a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Toyota Taisor comes based on the same platform as the Maruti Fronx. Aiming to provide the SUV with a unique and original touch, Toyota has made some major changes in the exterior of the Taisor. These changes include a new grille with a chrome touch, a new front bumper, and new LED DRLs. Additionally, the Taisor also gets 16-inch Alloy wheels with a new design. If we talk about the rear design, there is no significant changes have been made by the automaker in Taisor.
Toyota Taisor Vs Maruti Fronx: Price Differences
Maruti Suzuki is available in five variants which include the Sigma, Delta, Delta Plus, Zeta and Alpha. On the other hand, the Taisor is available in E, S and S Plus trims for the 1.2 litre NA variants, starting with a price tag of Rs. 7.73 lakh and going up to Rs. 9.52 lakh. Alongside, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine trims are G and V variants which start at Rs. 10.55 lakh and go up to Rs. 13.03 lakh.
Talking about Fronx’s prices, it starts with a price tag of Rs. 8.7 lakh and go up to Rs.13.04 lakh. Talking about the price difference, the Toyota Taisor costs 51000 to 61000 more than the Maruti Fronx, this price difference varies according to the variant. The 1.2-litre engine variant costs around Rs. 25000 more when compared to the Fronx. However, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol variants carry a nominal price difference of Rs. 1000 between both compact SUVs.
