Volvo V90 Cross Country Highlights
The Volvo V90 Cross Country was the first premium station wagon to make its appearance in the Indian market. It closely resembles its immediate sibling Volvo S90 and remains based on the manufacturer’s SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform. The vehicle demonstrates exceptional off-roading capability, higher ground clearance, adequate cladding, and an all-wheel-drive mechanism. The front face of the station wagon bears an imposing grille with vertical black bars. You also get an angular lower bumper with silver accents for a rugged stance. V90 Cross Country sports the Volvo signature taillamps and a raked rear windshield to carry ahead the muscular look.
Volvo has designed a premium cabin for V90 Cross Country. You get lots of soft-touch points, four-zone climate control, a highly responsive touchscreen infotainment unit, panoramic sunroof, and unique vertical air-con slats. There are also three choices in the upholstery; you can have it in amber, maroon brown or charcoal-coloured leather. The manufacturer takes the opinion of orthopaedic surgeons before designing the seats, thus providing excellent contour, top-class cushioning and massage functions in these components. Besides, there are also electric adjustments for lumbar, lateral and thigh support for a customised experience. V90 Cross Country gets propelled by a 1969cc, 4-cylinders, Inline, diesel motor. It generates a whopping 235 bhp @ 4250 rpm maximum power and 480 Nm @ 1750 rpm peak torque. The power gets transmitted to all the wheels by an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The vehicle produces a bit of diesel clatter after cranking the engine; however, excellent cabin insulation filters out this noise. Finally, if you are looking for a station wagon in India, the V90 Cross Country is an excellent choice.
