Exterior & Design
Land Rover Range Rover Velar's exterior design carries a combination of smooth flowing surfaces and straight body lines. The most prominent line is the one that begins from the headlamps, continues on the front fender, the front and rear doors, the rear fender, and finally ends by merging with the taillamps. Also, the flush type retractable door handles complement the smooth body panels of the Velar.
In the front, the grille and the headlamp units too look sleek and slim. The bottom air dam is complemented with side air curtains which also come embedded with copper elements. It offers 20 inch 10 spoke alloys with satin dark grey finish. The rear too comes with unique looking taillamps which remain hidden until illuminated.
Interior & Features
Inside the cabin, the Velar gets JLR's new Pivi Pro with an 11.4 inch curved infotainment touchscreen. Apart from that, there's also a number of features for the occupants comfort. These include front ventilated/heated seats with 20 way massage function, power reclining rear seats, memory function for the driver seat.
To elevate the cabin experience, it also comes with 30 colour ambient lighting, fixed panoramic glass roof, Meridian sound system and electronic air suspension.
Engine & Transmission
Land Rover offers two engine options in the Velar. The first one being the P250 1998 cc petrol engine producing 250 PS of power and 365 Nm of torque. The other one is the 1998 cc D200 diesel mild hybrid engine producing 203.9 PS of power and 430 Nm of torque. Both the powertrains only come with torque converter automatic transmission.
Dimensions
Velar measures 4797 mm in length, 2041 mm in width, 1683 mm (Coil suspension)/1678 mm (AIR suspension) in height, and 2874 mm in wheelbase.
Variants and Colours
Customers can choose from 5 different colours i.e. Zadar Grey, Fuji White, Santorini Black, Cyan and Varesine Blue.
