Upcoming TVS Fiero 125 Trademark Accepted

The 125cc motorcycles are the commuter bikes segment which is the reason they are always high in demand. The highest selling bikes in this segment are such as Honda CB Shine, Hero Super Splendor, Hero Glamour, And Now TVS Motor is planning the launch of upcoming 2022 TVS Fiero, which is expected to be based on their successfully launched model TVS Raider 125. TVS Raider allowed TVS to enter this 125cc motorcycle segment which was launched in the previous year.

TVS Raider has taken its share in the 125cc segment by 7% of the total bikes sold in this segment. TVS has been able to deliver 10,000 units of Raider every month in India. The total bikes sold in this segment in Dec 2021 were 1.6 lakh where Honda CB shine out shined its competitors by bagging nearly 40 per cent of the total market share, whereas Hero Glamour stood at second best in the market by 20 per cent market share.

Launching another motorcycle in this 125cc space will allow TVS to grow in the commuter bike segment and rise its market share in 2022 by a good margin. We will get the answer to this after the launch of Fiero. TVS Fiero 125 trademark has been applied for by the company in Nov 2020.Going by the name, TVS Fiero will be a 125cc motorcycle and might share some of its components with TVS Raider.

TVS Fiero 125 Design:

According to reports from the test sightings of the Fiero 2022 the design is expected to be closer to a retro style, a round rearview mirrors and headlamp on the front, a single-piece seat with a ribbed seat pattern for grip and comfort, short fender covering tyre on the back and a grab rail for rear passenger. Front fork styles a golden coating which is a differentiating factor and adds to its aesthetics. Much information is not present on the model yet.

Engine Specs:

TVS is known for their high performance bikes which provides a good fuel economy at the same time. TVS Fiero will be similar to Raider and carry a 124.8cc engine with a single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve mechanism. The engine will thrust a power of 11.2 bhp at 7,500rpm and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm and is combined to a 5-speed gearbox.

Price And Rivals:

TVS Fiero 125 price is not revealed for the time being but it will fall near the price range of TVS Raider which starts at Rs.77,500. It is expected rivals against other 125cc commuter bikes such as Honda CB Shine, Hero Super Splendor, Hero Glamour and more.
