HYUNDAI SALES – AUGUST 2022

Hyundai has claimed strong local and international sales growth. The company reported a year-over-year sales growth of 5.64 percent in August 2022, selling** 49,510 units** compared to 48,866 in the same month the previous year. Exports for the company increased by 4%, to 12.7K units from 12.2K units. With a YoY growth of 5.32 percent, Hyundai sold 62,210 units overall as opposed to 59,068 units in August 2021.

However, domestic sales for Hyundai fell by 1.96 percent on an MoM basis. “With the continuously improving semi-conductor situation, supplies continue to go up enabling us to serve our beloved customers with their car in the festival season that has kicked off in India with Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi. MAHINDRA SALES – AUGUST 2022

Compared to 15,973 units sold during the same month previous year, the company sold 29,856 units overall in August 2022. Sales increased by 87% year over year, according to the report. In August 2022, Mahindra sold 336 cars and vans compared to 187 units in the same month the previous year, recording an 80% increase in sales year over year.

MARUTI SUZUKI SALES– AUGUST 2022

In August 2022, Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 1,65,173 units (domestic + exports), up from 1,30,669 units in the same month in the previous year. MSIL reported a total sale of 8,09,020 units in the first half of FY2022-23, compared to 6,46,775 units in FY 2021–22. MSIL sold 1,34,166 automobiles in the passenger vehicle market in August 2022, up 30.02 percent year over year. However, MSIL announced that 1,42,850 units were sold in July 2022, a 6.08 percent MoM fall in sales.

Compared to 20,461 units sold in the same month last year, MSIL sold 22,162 units of the Alto and the S-Presso in the micro class in August 2022. MSIL sold 71,557 vehicles in the compact class (Baleno, Swift, Dzire, Ignis, and WagonR) in August 2022 compared to 45,577 in the same month in 2021.

In August 2022, Maruti Suzuki delivered 1,516 Ciaz vehicles, compared to 2,146 in August 2021. MSIL sold 26,932 vehicles in August 2022 in the utility vehicle segment (Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, and the XL6) as opposed to 24,337 units in the same month in the previous year. Compared to 10,666 cars sold in August 2021, MSIL sold 11,999 vans last month.

TATA MOTORS SALES– AUGUST 2022

Tata Motors reported a remarkable increase in sales for the month of August 2022. Compared to 26,996 vehicles sold in the same month the previous year, the business sold 43,321 cars in August 2022. The company recorded a 60% increase in sales year over year in the ICE passenger vehicle segment.

Compared to 1,022 units sold in the same month last year, Tata Motors sold 3,845 electric vehicles in the passenger vehicle category in August 2022. It recorded a 276% increase in revenues year over year. In August 2022, there were a total of 47,166 domestic passenger vehicle sales, up from 28,018 in the same month in the previous year.

In August 2022, the firm sold 29,313 commercial vehicles on the domestic market, up from 26,172 units in the corresponding month in the previous year. This is a 12% increase in sales year over year. Additionally, the company exported 2,178 CVs last month, which is 40% fewer than in August 2021.\

KIA SALES– AUGUST 2022

The Korean carmaker reported that for the month of August 2022, it sold 22,322 units in total on the local market. The company recorded a 33.27 percent increase in sales from the previous year. With an overall sales total of 8,652 units last month, the Seltos is the brand's best-selling model.

In August 2022, Kia India sold 5,558 units of the Carens MPV and 7,838 units of the Sonet in the Indian market. Additionally, the company has sold 274 units of its premium Carnival MPV. Kia sold 1,66,167 vehicles in this country in the first eight months of the year.

TOYOTA SALES– AUGUST 2022

Compared to the same month the previous year, when Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 12,272 units, 14,959 units were sold in August 2022. Sales increased by 17.12% year over year, the company claimed. The Innova, Fortuner, Glanza, Urban Cruiser, Hilux, Camry, and Vellfire are now available from Toyota. The updated Urban Cruiser Hyryder pricing will be released soon.

Toyota recorded 19,693 unit sales in July 2022, which was the greatest number ever. Sales for the brand are down 24% month over month, with a volume loss of 4,734 units.
