The expected price range for the bike is between 2.6 lakh and 2.7 lakh

What we know so far

It's widely known that the initial motorcycles resulting from the collaboration between Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles will soon be revealed and are anticipated to be available at retail stores later this year. Bajaj is set to manage Triumph's 15 sales outlets and has ambitious plans to increase the number of dealerships to 120 within the next 24 months. This makes the launch of a few mid-range, beginner-friendly motorcycles very significant. Bajaj and Triumph have been conducting trials of a scrambler and a roadster not only in India but also in the United Kingdom. Their appearances have been frequent over the past few months as they progress towards their almost final designs.

Expected details

The upcoming scrambler model, which seems to be equipped with a novel 350-400 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine, can be seen here.

The almost finalized prototype, which was not covered by camouflage, has been captured on camera flaunting various enhancements such as a top box, saddle, and tank bags. The motorbike has a lean build and is equipped with multi-purpose tires fitted on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with multiple spokes. The rider's comfortable position while sitting upright further highlights the scrambler's touring and off-road capabilities.

The Scram 400 model, a collaboration between Bajaj and Triumph, uses upside-down front forks measuring 41-43 mm and a single shock absorber at the rear with adjustable pre-load. It will have a 320 mm front disc brake and potentially a 270-280 mm rear disc brake, along with a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. Standard features will include a slipper and assist clutch, a partly digital gauge cluster, a fuel filler cap that is positioned off-center, and a slender fuel tank that can hold up to 13 liters.

Although the motorbike's design features are clearly inspired by Triumph's existing lineup, it has a sleek and unadorned appearance. The scrambler model seems to have a raised ground clearance, and the seat height may exceed 795 mm. It employs a tubular framework with an attachable subframe and will be manufactured at Bajaj's Chakan plant located close to Pune

Additional features

Additional features that are visible in the images include a clear windscreen, a front beak that is elevated, a round LED headlight enclosed in an alloy casing, LED turn signals, and an LED taillight with an inverted U-shaped pattern. The motorbike also has divided handrails, divided seating with generous cushioning for the rider, and a dual-port exhaust system that is mounted on the side. The six-speed gearbox will be linked to the engine, and electronic driver aids such as traction control and ABS with a switch will likely be included in the package, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.
