BMW i7 launched in India at pricing Rs 1.95 crore

BMW India has increased its selection of electric vehicles (EVs) with the introduction of the BMW i7, which has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.95 crore and will begin deliveries in March 2023.

The i7 is based on the most recent model of the BMW 7 Series and is only available in the xDrive60 configuration, which is powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 101.7 kWh.The BMW i7's exterior appearance and design are exact replicas of those of the new 7 Series, which features a huge distinctive front grille that has been expanded vertically.

The new split headlamps, a fresh take on the door handles, and smaller split tail lamps are placed on each side of this. The fore and aft bumpers, as well as the side skirts, feature specific blue accents that set the i7 apart from the normal 7 Series and showcase its EV features.

BMW i7 : Interior

The BMW i7's interior is a tech carnival with up to five screens inside! A 12.3-inch completely digital driver's display and a 14.9-inch centre display are mounted on the dashboard. Having said that, the gear selector and steering wheel also feature fresh designs.

A gigantic 31.3-inch 8k display with an integrated Amazon Fire TV and a Bowers & Wilkins music system, however, makes the back seat the best place to be. Additionally, both of the rear doors have two 5.5-inch colour monitors built in, in case that wasn't enough. These provide access to seat adjustments, ambient lighting settings, audio system controls, and climate control options.

BMW i7 : Powertrain

A floor-mounted, 101.7kWh battery pack powers the BMW i7 and produces a maximum torque of 536 horsepower and 744 Nm. BMW claims a sprint time from 0 to 100 kph of 4.7 seconds and a peak speed cap of 239 kph. The i7 can be charged using a range of methods, from an 11kW AC charger to a 195kW DC charger. The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 and other high-end electric options compete with the i7 in the Indian market.
