GM Launched The Teaser For The Cadillac Celestiq EV

GM has finally launched a teaser of the Cadillac Celestiq EV, which is going to be its flagship model. After introducing the Super Cruise interface for the new Chevy Bolt EV and EUV, now it has also showcased the Cadillac. GM is focusing on placing the Cadillac as the leading car brand for its electric vehicle line-up, and it has started off with the Lyriq.

The brand is planning to launch the Celestiq probably by the year 2025. This car will come with a range of 482 kilometres. In a press statement, GM said that the Cadillac Celestiq Statement Vehicle is an ultra-lux EV with bespoke, and hand-assembled craftsmanship. This car has a project build rate of only 1.2 vehicles per day. It further added that each vehicle comes with a selection of hand-crafted materials, and each Celestiq will be designed in such a manner so as to reflect the individuality of its owner. There is a whole lot of unique features present in the Celestiq, one such unique aspects of the car are its roof and infotainment system. It will also have a four-quadrant suspended particle-device smart glass. This smart glass will allow each passenger of the car to set the level of transparency according to their own needs. This is going to be a signature feature of the vehicle.

According to GM, the driver and front-seat passenger will get to enjoy a pillar-to-pillar freeform display with active privacy to avoid creating a distraction for the driver. The rear-seat passengers, on the other hand, have personalized entertainment screens. There are console screens that are present between seats in the front and back, and they help in providing comfort to all passengers along with entertainment displays to minimize distractions. These features were explained by GM while describing the infotainment system in the press release.
