Hero MotoCorp Dominates Indian Market by Selling 3.96 Lakh Units In April

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, reported sales of 396,107 units in April 2023, securing the top position in the Indian market. Despite a negative year-on-year growth compared to April 2022, the brand's sales were dominated by motorcycles, while scooters accounted for a smaller portion at 27,277 units. Domestic sales were impressive at 3,86,184 units, with an additional 9,923 two-wheelers exported from India. The company anticipates momentum to build in the upcoming months due to new product launches, the country's GDP growth, and positive consumer sentiments.

In a remarkable display of their commitment to their brand promise of enabling #FreedomonWheels, Hero MotoCorp's Chairman, Dr. Pawan Munjal, presented a specially-abled employee, Chitra Zutshi, with a Harley-Davidson Road King at the Hero Global Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. Chitra piloted the motorcycle herself on the testing track under expert supervision, further exemplifying Hero's dedication to empowering their customers to experience the joy of riding.

Additionally, Hero MotoSports Team Rally, the company's motorsport division, achieved an impressive feat at the Sonora Rally 2023, with Ross Branch and Sebastian Buhler securing the 7th and 10th overall positions, respectively, in their first North American outing.
