Jeep Meridian 2023: All you need to know

Jeep India earlier unveiled the first images of the Meridian, a new 7-seat SUV built on the Compass platform. It shares a similar perspective to the Commander, which is offered outside of the country and borrows styling cues from the Grand Cherokee.

The interior perspective of the SUV is larger and should retain the majority of the Compass' features. Three different powertrains will be offered, one of which will probably have an automatic gearbox. The other two are a 2-litre diesel engine with a manual transmission and an optional all-wheel drivetrain.

Jeep Meridian Pre-booking and Expected Price

According to several online sources, the new Jeep Meridian 7-seater SUV's advanced reservations have begun at a starting price of Rs 50,000. Production on the Meridian will begin in May at Jeep's Ranjangaon facility in India.

Jeep Meridian Specifications

Logistically, the Jeep Meridian is anticipated to use the Compass's four-cylinder, 2.0-litre, turbocharged diesel engine. It will have a maximum torque of 350 Nm and 168 horsepower of power. However, we are confident that the power and torque numbers will surface once the Meridian is made available in the Indian market. As anticipated, this SUV will come equipped as standard with a nine-speed automated gearbox.

Jeep Meridian is expected to come with five colour options including Techno Metallic Green, Brilliant Black, Pearl White, Velvet Red, and Magnesia Grey.
