Mahindra Scorpio Classic - A New S5 Variant in 7 and 9 Seater

Mahindra had introduced the latest Scorpio Classic SUV in 2022 in India. This latest SUV is sold side by side with the new gen Scorpio- N, which has the latest styling, set of engines and new interior. This new Scorpio Classic has also got a good response from the customers, as the popular look and feel is kept by it.

The Scorpio Classic SUV will receive the upgrade of RDE compliant engine by Mahindra soon. Additionally, the new mid-spec S5 variant will also be offered. This variant has a choice of 7 or 9 seats, while the base variant comes with only 9 seater option. This new S5 variant will be placed between the base- spec S and the top-spec S11 variant.

The base variant is available with the 2×2 side facing bench seats at rear and the bench seats in the second row. While the top spec variant comes with both captain and bench-type seats in the second-row. The S5 variant will also get a similar seating layout.

What are the Features of the New Scorpio S5 Variant?

Mahindra Scorpio Classic S5 variant is offered with powered ORVMs, dual airbags, audio system, steel wheels with cover, collapsible steering and others.

The new SUV will come with a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, which will fulfill the upcoming norms of Real Driving Emission (RDE) or BS6 Phase II. The engine has the ability to produce 130bhp of power and 300Nm of torque.

A 6-speed manual gearbox is used to transmit power to the rear wheels. Petrol and diesel engine of Scorpio N will be updated by Mahindra to fulfill the upcoming RDE norms.
