Maruti Suzuki s-CNG vehicles receives highest ever sales

Maruti Suzuki is the benchmark setter in the Indian auto industry. They are the flag bearer in the mass market, especially the entry level segment. While every other vehicle manufacturer is focussing upon the electric vehicle mobility, Maruti Suzuki is pitching their sCNG cars as the fuel efficient offerings over the diesel engine offerings in the segment.

Maruti Suzuki has recorded the highest ever sales in their sCNG lineup of vehicles in the Financial Year 2020-21. Their portfolio of s-CNG cars include Alto, Celerio, Wagon-R, S-Presso, Eeco, Ertiga, Tour S and commercial vehicle Super Carry.

Maruti has sold 1.57 lakh sCNG vehicles in the said tenure. As per Maruti’s spokesperson, MSIL has one of the largest fleet of sCNG vehicles which is more economic and eco friendly than diesel and petrol powered vehicles. India is seeing growing demand for such products in personal mobility and commercial space due to these two reasons and the growing infrastructure of CNG filling stations.Maruti Suzuki cSNG vehicles are equipped with micro-switch to ensure that the vehicle’s engine is switched off while filling the fuel and doesn’t get started during the filling of fuel. Maruti Suzuki is also offering an extended warranty of 5 years on sCNG vehicles for a worry-free ownership experience.

Maruti has tested these vehicles for multiple situations including crash sustainability. The steel pipes are joined together with ferrule joints to ensure zero rusting and leakage. All wiring systems have been neatly integrated in the vehicle for a seamless driving experience. This experience is further enhanced by dual interdependent ECUs that have intelligent injection systems which keeps a check on optimum air-fuel mixture for good performance and economy.
