Matter Aera's stylish electric motorcycle now available on Flipkart's platform.

Electric bikes are gaining popularity in India due to their eco-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use. The government's push towards EVs has also contributed to their growing demand.

Matter, an electric motorcycle producer from Ahmedabad, has teamed up with Flipkart, an e-commerce platform, to sell its Aera product. This partnership enables potential customers to pre-order and buy Matter Aera electric bikes. In addition, customers can take advantage of exclusive deals on the e-commerce platform.

Matter's Aera: price details

Matter has partnered with OTO, a digital commerce and financing platform, to offer financing options for its newly launched products. The company has introduced four variants of its electric motorcycle, namely Aera 4000, Aera 5000, Aera 5000+, and Aera 6000+.

However, it has only revealed the specifications and prices for the Aera 5000 range, which includes the Aera 5000 and Aera 5000+ priced at Rs. 1,43,999 and Rs. 1,53,999, respectively (both ex-showroom, PAN India, inclusive of FAME II).

Power details and other features

The Aera 500 series employs a 10kW electric motor in conjunction with a 5kWh battery pack. The battery pack incorporates a liquid-cooling system and is capable of delivering a purported range of 125km.

According to the manufacturer, using a standard charger, it takes five hours to charge the battery. On the other hand, the fast charger can recharge the battery pack in just two hours. The electric bike comes equipped with a variety of features, including an LED headlight, a TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and various riding modes.

In addition to the aforementioned features, the Aera 500 series also includes a regenerative braking system that charges the battery while braking. The motorcycle's suspension system comprises inverted forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.

The Aera 5000+ variant also features a reverse gear, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces. Overall, the Matter Aera electric motorcycle range offers a promising package of features, performance, and sustainability.
