Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price hike for one of its best-selling models, the E-Class. The increased showroom prices apply to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class with immediate effect.
In India’s luxury car market, Mercedes-Benz India has consistently maintained its leading position with over 50% of the market share. The automaker has several top-selling luxury cars in India, including the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Maybach GLS series. In CY2024, the automaker sold 19,565 units, 12.4% higher than CY2023, providing cumulative sales of 200,000 units.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class has primarily three trims in India, including the E200, E220d, and 450 4MATIC. The Germany-based luxury automaker has increased Mercedes-Benz E-Class E200 and E220d showroom prices by Rs 1 lakh. With this recent price hike, these two rims of E-Class are now priced at Rs 79.50 lakh and Rs 82.50 lakh, respectively. In comparison, the ex-showroom price of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class 4MATIC remains unchanged at Rs 92.50 lakh.
Mercedes-Benz India has offered its flagship E-Class in two petrol and one diesel engine options. The base variant gets a smaller 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 32320 Nmf torque, while the high-spec gets a larger 3.0-liter six-cylinder option that churns out 375 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The automaker has offered a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit in diesel spec trims that delivers 194 bhp and 440 Nm of torque. In all trims, there is a standard 48V mild-hybrid system and 9-speed automatic transmission as standard.

Besides multiple airbags, these Maruti Suzuki models now have an electronic stability program, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, and hill hold assist.
