MG Comet EV Bookings Began Today; Deliveries by This Month

MG Motor began bookings for Comet EV for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Customers can either visit the company's official website or the nearest MG dealership in their area. Deliveries for MG Comet EV are expected to start by this month only.

The company has announced the "Track and Trace" feature in the MyMG app so customers can easily track bookings from their phones. This compact EV will have an MG e-Shield ownership package covering some repair and service costs.

The pack includes three years or one lakh km warranty on this electric vehicle. Further, it includes three years of roadside assistance (RSA) and three free labor services. MG Motor India provides an eight-year or 1 lakh 20 thousand km warranty on its 17.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Moreover, the company will provide 80 additional warranty and service packages with a starting price of Rs 5,000.

Recently, MG Comet EV has launched with a starting price of Rs 7.98 lakh for the Pace variant, while the Plush variant was launched at Rs 9.98 lakh. These initial prices will remain available for the first 5,000 bookings.

In an official release, MG introduced its optional buy-back program for the buyers of Comet EVs. The customers are assured a buy-back of 60% of the original ex-showroom price after three years from the date of purchase.

For better customer service, MG provides hassle-free service options that include DIY via the MyMG app, remote assistance, and service at home.

Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor India, Gaurav Gupta, said that the company had developed MG Comet EV for Indian urban consumers. With the Trace and Track feature's availability, customers can track the status of their car booking. He further added that customers will be able to experience their Comet EV soon.
