New 390 Adventure X by KTM launched at 2.80 lakh

The KTM Adventure 390 is a popular adventure motorcycle in India, known for its powerful engine and advanced features. It has gained a significant following among Indian riders who seek a versatile bike that can handle both on-road and off-road adventures. Its popularity has contributed to the growth of the adventure motorcycle segment in India.

KTM 390 Adventure X : First looks and engine upgrades

KTM India has introduced a new model of the 390 Adventure called the Adventure X, which is more economical and comes with a price tag of 2.80 lakh during its introductory phase, making it 59,000 rupees cheaper than the 390 Adventure.

The 390 Adventure will continue to be sold for 3.39 lakh, and both prices are exclusive of showroom charges. To tap into the rising adventure touring market, KTM India has removed several features from the 390 Adventure X, allowing it to be offered at a more competitive price.

The engine remains unaltered and retains its 373 cc capacity, which is cooled by liquid and generates a maximum torque of 37 Nm and 42.9 bhp. Additionally, it is paired with a 6-speed transmission that features a slip-and-assist clutch.

Design and features

The Adventure X 390 still maintains some features including ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, off-road ABS, LED lighting and a 12V accessory socket. Nonetheless, it now comes with an LCD dashboard instead of a TFT screen. On the other hand, the 390 Adventure provides more features such as cornering ABS, Quickshifter+, Ride modes (street & off-road), and Motorcycle Traction Control.

There are also no modifications to the hardware. Therefore, the Adventure X 390 features a split trellis frame, 43 mm WP Apex upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, 200 mm of ground clearance, a 320 mm front disc, and a 230 mm rear disc.
