New Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Gets a Global Debut

The new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift gets a global debut at the Japan Mobility Show. The next-gen Swift retains a similar design and dimensions to the current model, along with some new and differentiating features.

Starting with the exterior, the new Suzuki Swift now has an updated grille with a gloss black finish, new clusters with LED headlamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels with fresh patterns. The Japan-spec Swift car has an almost identical rear profile, but its 2024 model will likely get smoked elements for tail lamps.

The Swift has a newly laid dashboard inside the cabin, which seems similar to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Fronx. The buyers can also find a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and analog instrument cluster. The color theme of the Suzuki interior is black.

The carmaker has offered a hybrid powertrain and LEVEL-2 ADAS in this new-generation Swift—however, the India spec Swift is expected to launch next year and continue its 1.2-liter petrol engine. The engine will be configured with a five-speed manual or automatic transmission system.
