Royal Enfield Bullet 650cc soon a Reality: RE working on 650cc Bullet Confirmed

Royal Enfield Bullet 650cc will be introduced by the brand in India soon. During an investor meeting, the bikemaker announced the arrival of five new 450cc RE bikes and the RE Bullet 650cc in India.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650cc Details

Royal Enfield has been developing a number of new motorcycles based on the 450cc and 650cc chassis. During an investor meeting, the bikemaker announced the arrival of five new Royal Enfield 450cc models, including the Himalayan 450cc. A single-seat 350cc bobber with a more upright riding position, wire-spoke wheels, and a large exhaust pipe will also be introduced. It will essentially be a new RE Classic 350cc model. Interestingly, the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer is working on the Royal Enfield Bullet 650, which would most likely share its engine with the RE 650cc twins.

The 648cc air and oil-cooled parallel twin engine will power the new Royal Enfield Bullet 650. The engine produces 47bhp at 7,250rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,650rpm. The bike could have a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. The new RE Bullet 650 will most likely retain the original stance and design language, such as the round retro-styled headlamp, spoke wheels, headlamp cap, and single-piece seat.

The new Royal Enfield Bullet 650cc will almost certainly cost more than its 350cc. The latter is currently available in two models, X Kick Start and X Electric Star, for Rs 1.50 lakh and Rs 1.66 lakh, respectively (all, ex-showroom). The RE Bullet 350 is the country's most economical offering from the Chennai-based bikemaker.

In other news, Royal Enfield is preparing to debut the Super Meteor 650, which will feature a 47bhp, 648cc engine with custom mapping and gearing. It is touted to produce 80% of peak torque at 2,500 rpm. The bike will have a 135mm ground clearance and a fuel tank capacity of 15.7 liters. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 cruiser will have CEAT Zoom Cruz tyres on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels.
