Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Specifications Revealed

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is officially confirmed to debut in the Indian market. The brand has already commenced the pre-booking for its upcoming Tiguan R-Line SUV and announced to launch in India as a CBU. Before its launch, the automaker has further revealed the features of Tiguan R-Line for prospective customers willing to buy a capable SUV with modern features and styling exterior design. 

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Specifications

Recently, Volkswagen announced that the Tiguan R-Line will receive LED Plus headlamps and an animated 3D LED rear combination lamp. The SUV will also feature a three-zone climate control system, Park Assist Plus, and two wireless chargers for convenience. Inside the cabin will be 30 colors of ambient lighting and premium seats with R-badging. It will have R-line-inspired 19-inch alloy wheels. Illuminated molding between headlamps, rear combination lamps, and illuminated door handles for premium stance. The exterior will also house pedals in brushed stainless steel, surround lighting with welcome light, chrome finish air intake, and silver accent roof rails. 

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Color Options

The upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line will be offered in six color options, including Nightshade Blue Metallic, Persimmon Red Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Cipressino Green Metallic, and Oyster Silver Metallic. 

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Engine

The Tiguan R-Line will get a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine under the hood, capable of delivering 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. The motor will come mated with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission to power four wheels using a 4Motion AWD system. The upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan is set to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and deliver a top speed of 229 km/h.

With the launch of the Tiguan R-Line SUV, Volkswagen aims to compete directly against the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, Audi Q3, BMW X1, and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
