Introducing the BMW M 1000 R, a powerful and luxurious motorcycle, now available at an affordable price of 33 lakh.

BMW Motorrad has introduced its latest superbike, the BMW M 1000 R, to the Indian market. The bike offers two variants, priced at Rs 33 lakh and Rs 38 lakh respectively, and deliveries are expected to begin in January 2024.
The M 1000 R is the first BMW naked bike to surpass 200 horsepower, powered by a 999 cc, inline, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 212 bhp and 113 Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a slip-and-assist clutch and BMW’s ShiftCam technology.
The bike features a host of rider aids to control the performance, such as ride modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race 1 to 3), traction control, wheelie control, ABS, engine brake control, launch control, and more. All these can be monitored from the 6.5-inch TFT screen.
The M 1000 R sports a single pod headlight with a muscular fuel tank and large tank extensions that protrude at the front. The bike has a flat and wide handlebar and a two-piece seat. The Competition variant also gets an M rider footrest system, M Carbon parts, and an M pillion package.
The bike has been designed for maximum aerodynamics and sportiness. It gets new M Winglets that produce significantly more downforce when riding upright and leaning in corners. The M Carbon wheels stand out thanks to a new clear lacquer coat that brings out the high-quality, deep black shimmering carbon fibre structure.
The bike has a suspension setup of 45 mm USD front forks and a mono-shock with preload, rebound, and compression adjustability. The braking hardware comprises 320 mm dual front discs and a single 220 mm rear disc with ABS. The setup is linked to aluminium forged wheels for the standard model and carbon wheels for the M model. Both are shod to 120/70 front and 200/55 rear tyres.
The new BMW offering rivals the Ducati Streetfighter V4, Kawasaki Z H2, and the Aprilia Tuono V4. The bike can be pre-ordered at all BMW Motorrad India authorised dealerships now.
