Diesel sales decreased in June because of monsoon ?

Diesel, the country's most used fuel and constituting two-fifths of all demand, decreased by 3.7% to 7.1 million tons in June compared to the previous year. Sales fell 7% in April and 9.3% in May as farm demand increased and cars turned on air conditioning to beat the summer heat. In May, diesel consumption was 7.09 million tons, almost a month.

Petrol sales increased by 3 percent

In June 2023, production increased by 4% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 2.9 million tons. The data showed that sales were flat compared to the previous quarter.

Petrol consumption in June was 33.5% higher than in June 2021, which was affected by the new virus, and 20.6% higher than in June 2019 before the epidemic. Diesel consumption is 30% higher in June 2021 and 6.5% higher than in June 2019. As the aviation industry boomed with summer passengers, demand for aviation fuel (ATF) rose 6% year-on-year to 587,300 tons in June. This is 140% more than in June 2021, but 4.6% less than in June 2019 before the COVID-19 outbreak.

Monthly sales are down 2.4% from 602,000 tons in May 2023

Edible gas LPG sales decreased by 0.8% year on year to 2nd

June production was 27 million tons. LPG consumption remained almost constant compared to June 2021 and was 28.5% higher than in June 2019 compared to pre-COVID-19 outbreak. Month-to-month demand decreased by 3.4% compared to February.Liquefied petroleum consumption is 36 million tons.
