Ahead of its launch in India, Ducati has revealed a sneak peek of its upcoming bike, the Monster SP, through a teaser image. The company had already confirmed the release of this model in the Indian market, and they had tentatively priced it at Rs. 15.95 lakh.

Get ready for the all-new Ducati Monster SP

The Ducati Monster SP shares a resemblance in appearance with the standard model. Its features include a projector-style headlight with LED DRL, a small windscreen, a robust fuel tank with front indicators located under the tank shrouds, a stepped seat, a twin-pod exhaust mounted to one side, and 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.

What sets this variant apart is its unique dual-tone paint scheme that combines a red color with blacked-out elements and a passenger seat cowl.

Ducati Monster: Expected Features

The Ducati roadster, which competes with the Triumph Street Triple, will feature several standard components. These include full-LED lighting, a 4.3-inch color TFT display, launch control, a USB socket, a lithium-ion battery, three ride modes (Sport, Road, and Wet), cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, power modes, and a quick-shifter.

Additionally, the bike can be used with the Ducati Multimedia System and heated grips. The instrument panel provides an extensive range of data, such as a lap timer, fuel gauge, and air temperature.

Engine and Mileage

The Ducati Monster SP's mechanical specifications closely resemble those of the standard model. It employs a 973cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine, which generates a maximum power output of 109.9bhp at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 93Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox that includes a bidirectional quick-shifter, as mentioned earlier.

The recommended maintenance intervals are every 15,000km or 24 months, with valve clearance checks scheduled for every 30,000km. The company claims a fuel economy of 5.2 liters/100km or 19.23kmpl internationally.
