The Hero Xtreme 200s 2V is now replaced with a better 4V model

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has discontinued its fully-faired bike Xtreme 200S 2V, in India. The bike has been removed from the company’s official website as well. The Xtreme 200S 2V was introduced in 2019 and was on sale for four to five years. The Xtreme 200S 2V, despite being a competitive bike, it barely gained popularity and could not generate much sales for the brand.

Perhaps, it has been replaced by the new Xtreme 200S 4V, that is launched at Rs. 1.41 lakh (ex-showroom), with a more powerful engine, better brakes, and added features.

The new Xtreme 200S 4V is a complete package.

The all new Xtreme is powered by a more powerful 199.6cc 4V engine that delivers 19.1 PS of power and 17.35 Nm of torque. The upgraded engine results in 6% more power delivery and 5% more torque than the previous 2V bike model.

The powertrain is backed with a five-speed gearbox, a single-channel ABS, and disc brakes on both wheels. The new Xtreme 200S 4V is packed with features that comes with a full-digital instrument cluster that has live navigation feature as standard.

Hero MotoCorp hopes to gain market share with new Xtreme 200S 4V

Hero MotoCorp hopes that the new Xtreme 200S 4V will help it gain a good market share in the segment, similar to how the Xpulse 200 has done. The Xpulse 200 is the best-selling adventure bike, after the 4V engine upgrade model, in India. And delivered over 10,000 units sold in FY2021.

The new Xtreme 200S 4V is available in three colours: Panther Black Metallic, Mat Axis Grey Metallic, and Moon Yellow.

Hero MotoCorp is also gearing up to launch the new Karizma XMR 210 on August 29, 2023. It will be the flagship bike of the brand and will compete with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and TVS Apache RR310.
