Honda is about to launch Activa H Smart 2023 | First electric scooter of 2024

Long before its April 2023 deadline, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Monday unveiled the Activa 2023, its first two-wheeler that complies with OBD2. But for now, you can check out these electric scooters if you are willing to buy them this year.

Atsushi Ogata, the company's managing director, president, and CEO, stated during the launch event that numerous products are planned for the electric vehicle market, with the first model scheduled to debut in March of next year.

According to Ogata, who was speaking about Activa 2023, "Activa has re-activated the scooter market and has now been one of the top-selling two-wheelers for more than a decade.

It has gone through several iterations to satisfy the constantly evolving needs of our clients, and today we introduce the new OBD2-compliant Activa 2023 with a variety of industry-first capabilities that give customers greater value.

About the new Honda Activa Electric Scooter

The latest version of the Activa scooter, which has a starting price of Rs 74,536, complies with India's anticipated tighter emission regulations.

The business disclosed its plans for developing a charging infrastructure to serve its clients who own electric vehicles.

The Activa 2023 Honda smart key system has functions like smart unlock and smart start in addition to answer-back technology that makes it easier to find the car.

Additionally, the two-wheeler incorporates the Mapped Smart ECU characteristics, which warn the owner in case their vehicle is stolen. 

A key that has not been registered cannot start the engine thanks to the smart key immobiliser technology.

With a market share of 56%, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India continue to dominate the scooter business. 

With the debut of a 100 cc motorcycle next month, the company also hopes to solidify its position in the motorcycle market. 

The company anticipates that the bike will aid in solidifying its position in rural and semi-urban areas.

In March 2024, we want to introduce the first electric model. On the eve of the launch, Ogata remarked, "It is being constructed on a completely new platform and is based on the requirements of the Indian market.
