Hyundai Alcazar to get 2.0-litre Petrol Engine; Launch Today

Hyundai Alcazar will be unveiled globally today. The launch event will be happening through an official event in Jaipur. This SUV is a 6/7 seat version of Hyundai Creta and receives some of the major changes over the donor vehicle.

We earlier reported that Alcazar will be getting the engines from Creta, however, as per the recent update, the new Hyundai SUV will be getting a 2.0-litre petrol engine that’ll generate 152PS of power and 192Nm of torque. On the diesel front, ALcazar will get the Creta’s engine. It will be a 1.5-litre diesel mill that’ll churn out 115PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Though, there is no confirmation on the automatic transmission that’ll show up with SUV’s petrol trim, a 6 speed manual will be there with both the engines along with diesel getting a torque converter.Hyundai Alcazar will be a 6 seater alternate to Hyundai Creta. It will have subtle visible changes over the donor vehicle but only post B-pillar. The rear gets a redesigned boot and tail lamp setup. The rear quarter glass and longer rear door makes a significant difference between the 5 seater and 6 seater vehicles. On the front, the radiator grill may see some changes in its design. Also, Hyundai Alcazar alloy wheels will be 18 inch units and carry a different design.Hyundai Alcazar will be locking its horns with Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
