Mahindra XUV 700 will receive a New Entry Level Variant

A new MX (E) variant is reportedly being added to Mahindra & Mahindra's roster of the incredibly successful XUV700 SUV models. The new trim will close the pricing gap between the petrol and diesel variants by sitting above the MX and beneath the AX3 trim.

It will be available with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is capable of 200 horsepower and 380 Nm. There will be manual and automatic transmission options available. Customers will find the petrol-automatic gearbox combo more cheap thanks to the new Mahindra XUV700 MX (E) grade.

The car has a 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel motor which is offered in two states of tune 155bhp with 360Nm (in the entry-level variants) and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450Nm (AT) (in the higher variants). Both the petrol and diesel powerplants will soon be updated by the carmaker to make them RDE ( Real Driving Emission) compliant. As of April 1, 2023, the new RDE rules will be in place.

What are the Features of the New Mahindra XUV 700?

Mahindra XUV 700 MX (E) model will come with a 4-speaker audio system, a 7-inch instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto connectivity, electric mirror adjustment, USB Type-C ports in the first and second row, pop-type door handles, rear spoiler, steering wheel with mounted controls, LED taillamps and roof rails. Some extra features might also be offered by the carmaker in the new model.

The current price range for the Mahindra XUV700 SUV model lineup is between Rs. 13.45 lakh and Rs. 25.48 lakh. The entry-level petrol variant comes with a starting price of Rs 13.45 lakh and for the fully-loaded trim the price will be Rs 23.60 lakh. While the price range for the diesel version is Rs 13.96 lakh - Rs 25.48 lakh. 11 automatic variants are available, priced from Rs 17.61 lakh to Rs 25.48 lakh. The prices listed above are all ex-showroom.
