Matter Launched Aera E-Bike at price of Rs 1.44 Lakhs

Matter Energy has launched the Aera, its first e-bike. The ex-showroom price including FAME-II subsidy but excluding state subsidies for the 5000 variant in India is Rs 1.44 lakh and for the higher-spec 5000+ variant is Rs 1.54 lakh. Currently, these two variants are on sale but in future, there will be in total four variants.

Matter Aera is the first electric bike which has a 4-speed gearbox. Both the variants of this e-bike come with a 5kWh battery and the company claimed a 125 km real-world range.

What are the Features of Matter Aera E-Bike?

The 5000 variant of Aera has a 7-inch touch-compatible display with optional Bluetooth connectivity, progressive blinkers, OTA updates, keyless operation, park assist and welcome lights.

While the 5000+ surpasses the 5000 in that Bluetooth connectivity is included as standard, in addition to a lifestyle and care package, the specifics of which have not yet been made public.

What are the Future Plans of Matter Aera?

In the next 45 days, Matter Energy says it will launch its first experience centre in Ahmedabad, and in the following three months, it plans to have 20 dealerships around the nation. According to the Ahmedabad-based start-up, that number will also increase to about 100 by the end of this year.

For now, one can preorder the Aera in metro and tier-1 cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The company has said that it commenced the work on its manufacturing facility in November 2022. The booking for this e-bike will also be open within the next 30 days.

The company said that the delivery of this e-bike will begin this summer but has not revealed anything else on the delivery timeline when asked by them.

The Matter EV Electric Bike is positioned higher than the Revolt RV400 and will compete with the Torq Kratos.
