MG 4 EV India is making its Debut at 2023 Auto Expo – Features, Range, Specs

Updated Hector SUV and two door Air EV will be showcased at 2023 Auto Expo in January by MG Motor India. MG motor will also be heading to unveil MG 4 EV at this event that occurs once in two years.

MG 4 EV Auto Expo 2023

In the Euro NCAP crash test MG4 EV got a 5 star safety rating. In adult occupant protection this EV scored 83 percent ,for child occupant protection it got 80 percent, door pedestrian protection 75 percent and for safety assist systems it received score of 78 percent.

This model was equipped with some safety features like front, side chest and side pelvis airbags side head, , seatbelt pretensioner, and seatbelt reminder seatbelt load limiter . This global-spec version of the electric hatchback is also equipped with few advanced safety fitments including The lane keep assist high beam assist, driver attention alert, adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking, speed limit assist.

Along with advanced safety equipment, the MG electric hatchback works on connected car technology with OTA updates, a 360 degree camera, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, LED lighting and some good accessories.

MG 4 EV dimensions are 4287mm in length, 1836mm in width and 1506mm in height which is Based on SAIC’s modular Scalable Platform (MSP) platform. The electric hatchback sits on a 2705mm long wheelbase. Speaking of its powertrain, the model is launched globally with the 51kWh and 64kWh battery pack delivering 170bhp and 203bhp respectively. Both the versions have RWD system, a single-motor, and pulls maximum torque of 250Nm.

A 7kW AC fast charger charges 52kWh and 64kWh batteries in 7.5 hours and 9 hours respectively. These can also be boosted from 10 to 80 percent in 35 minutes and 39 minutes via 150kW DC charger. Manufactures suggest that the MG 4 electric hatchback pulls a range of up to 452km with the larger battery pack (on the WLTP cycle) and 350km in the smaller battery pack.
