OBD2-A E20 Compliant Range Introduced by Suzuki Motorcycle

Suzuki Motor Corporation’s two-wheeler subsidiary, Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMI) has introduced its OBD2-A and E20 variety of scooters. It includes Avenis, Access 125 and the Burgman street range. These scooters have an ethanol blend of up to 20% and can run on petrol.

The new and upgraded version of the On-Board Diagnostics System, i.e., OBD2-A, helps not only in detecting system failure but also brightens up the console lights to show the rider in case of any flaw in the vehicle system. The E20-compliant engine will also be the first product the company offers that complies with the OBD2-A standards.

Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing, and After Sales, at Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “Suzuki’s powerful 125cc engine, which delivers high performance and has been ruling riders’ hearts, is now E20 and OBD2-A compliant. We plan to gradually make our entire product portfolio compatible with E20 fuel.”

The Suzuki Burgman Street will be now available in Pearl Matte Shadow Green Color and the Avenis will also receive Metallic Sonic Silver/ Metallic Triton Blue Color.

Gixxer 250 models, a working prototype flex fuel vehicle, is displayed by Suzuki Motorcycle India at various events organised by the Government of India and the Auto Expo.
