Royal Enfield's Shotgun 650 to join the 650cc range as the brand's most expensive model

Royal Enfield, the iconic motorcycle manufacturer, has recently made waves with the latest sighting of their upcoming offering, the Shotgun 650. Embodying the brand's retro design philosophy, this new model features a round headlight, split seat, dual pea-shooter exhaust, round tail light, and turn indicators. Offering an upright yet relaxed rider triangle, the Shotgun 650 distinguishes itself from the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be powered by the same 648cc parallel-twin motor as its siblings, mated to a six-speed gearbox. While the output figures are expected to remain unchanged at 48bhp and 52Nm, the tuning is likely to be slightly altered to suit the Shotgun's specific configuration. Spy shots reveal that the upcoming motorcycle will feature USD front forks and a dual rear shock with preload adjustability. Braking hardware comprises a single front and rear disc with ABS, mounted on alloy wheels.

The Shotgun 650's features list is expected to be minimal, with an LED headlight and a dual pod instrument console similar to that of the Super Meteor 650. The bike may also come equipped with a single-piece seat. It is expected to be positioned as the most expensive and premium model in Royal Enfield's lineup, surpassing the Super Meteor.
