Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has teased the Indian audience with a magnificent-looking Suzuki Katana. A little over two years after it was initially displayed in India at the Auto Expo 2020, Suzuki India confirmed via a teaser video posted to its social media accounts that the Katana will definitely be launched in India. The liter-class neo-retro naked is already available in foreign markets, and the Katana, which is headed to India, will undoubtedly comply with all current international emission standards, including India's BS6 rules.
The Suzuki Katana is equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle with three riding modes, a 5-step traction control system, a bi-directional quickshifter, cornering ABS, and low rpm assistance. Its 999 cc, inline four-cylinder engine produces 150 horsepower and 106 Nm. The Katana has an upside-down suspension, 17-inch wheels, a front tyre that is 120 mm wide, and a rear tyre that is 160 sections. Although the Katana's 215 kg kerb weight makes it marginally heavier than its competitors in the same sector, braking is handled by calipers from Brembo.
It is anticipated that the 2022 Suzuki Katana would be imported in full, as a CBU (fully built unit), or as a CKD (completely knocked down) assembly, which will undoubtedly lower the price in India. If so, we anticipate that the Suzuki Katana would retail for between 14 and 15 lakh (Ex-showroom) and will face off against motorcycles like the BMW S 1000 R and the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX.
The Suzuki Katana has a more neo-retro style that is both fashionable and ergonomically comfortable, making it easier to ride in India's typical conditions. By July 2022, Suzuki India should announce the new Katana's arrival in India. And the Suzuki Katana Price will be around INR 12 Lakhs (ex-Showroom)
