Tata Nexon facelift seen on Indian streets, is influenced by Curvv Concept

Tata Motors has commenced working on the next gen of Nexon Compact SUV. The prototype of the upcoming 2024 Nexon was seen on Indian streets and is anticipated to be unveiled next year. The most noticeable aspect is its fresh design language, which looks quite distinct from the present version. The exterior of the 2024 Nexon is believed to take inspiration from the Curvv Concept.

The upcoming Nexon will feature a split headlamp arrangement, where the LED Daytime Running Lamps will be positioned above and the primary headlamp assembly will be located in the bumper. This design language is already present in other Tata Motors SUVs but is currently absent in the Nexon.

The sides of the vehicle feature fresh alloy wheels and new outside rearview mirrors, possibly taken from the Harrier and Safari. The rear of the vehicle will showcase a thinner set of LED tail lamps that differ from the present ones. Additionally, it is expected that both the front and rear will sport a light bar.

The interior of the new Nexon will undergo a revamp with fresh upholstery and dashboard design. It will come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which was recently introduced in the Harrier and Safari models. Additionally, the fully digital instrument cluster seen in Safari and Harrier will also be incorporated into the new Nexon.

The 2024 Nexon is expected to be equipped with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 108 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. It is also possible that Tata Motors may incorporate the latest 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 123 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque. In comparison, the existing turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 118 horsepower and a peak torque of 170 Nm.
