Tata Punch EV May Launch On This Date, Might Get These Features

Tata Motors has been testing the Punch EV for some time now. The electric micro SUV has been spotted on Indian roads a number of times. Now, the rumours suggest that Tata is all set to launch the Punch EV on 21st of December. According to the sources, the Indian car maker previously had the plans to launch the Punch EV in the month of October but it got postponed due to the pending orders of other EV models like Tiago EV.

When launched, Tata Punch will sit above the Tiago EV and Tigor EV in Tata's EV lineup. However, it will be placed below the Nexon EV in Tata's EV range. This makes Punch EV another mass market affordable EV from the house of Tata. On the competition front, it will rival the likes of MG Comet EV, Citroen eC3, and Tata's own Tiago EV and Tigor EV. The top end variant of Punch EV might also compete, to some extent, with the lower variants of Nexon EV.

What Features To Expect In Tata Punch EV:

On the exterior, the Tata Punch EV is expected to come with a new front and rear design with high probability of connected LED lightbar element in the front. However, this could also continue at the rear it. The charging socket in the Punch EV is likely to be placed in the front side, somewhere around the front grille. The alloys will also get a new design.

In the interior, the Punch EV will get Tata's new two spoke design steering wheel with illuminated logo. We also expect Tata to integrate a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen in the electric micro SUV. Moreover, the previous spy images of the Tata Punch EV had already revealed the electric parking brake and regen adjustment buttons on the front central console.

CarBike360 Says: Although this is just a speculation, we know that the next EV car from Tata will be the Punch EV and the brand is almost ready to launch it in the Indian market. This means more competition in the sub 15 lakh electric car segment, and that's a good news for the buyers.
