First lot of Triumph Speed 400 bikes dispatched from Chakan plant

The first batch of the Speed 400 motorcycles, the latest offering from Triumph Motorcycles India, has left the new Chakan facility in Pune. The company shared this news on its social media platforms and said that the deliveries to the customers will start by the end of July 2023.

Price Revision for Speed 400

The Speed 400 was introduced in India earlier this month at a special introductory price of Rs 2.23 lakh for the first 10,000 units. However, the price has now been revised to Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the subsequent bookings.

Features and Specifications of Speed 400

The Speed 400 is a retro-styled motorcycle with modern features. Some of its features are:- A 398 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 40 PS and 37.5 Nm of torque.- A 6-speed gearbox with a torque-assist clutch.- Full-LED lighting and a semi-digital instrument cluster.- Ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS, and an anti-theft immobiliser.- A 16,000 km service interval and a two-year unlimited mileage warranty.

Scrambler 400X: The Other Bike Launched by Triumph

The Speed 400 was launched along with the Scrambler 400X, which is yet to be priced and available in India. Both the motorcycles are powered by the same TR Series engine, which is a new platform developed by Triumph in collaboration with Bajaj Auto. The TR Series engine is claimed to offer a smooth and refined performance with low emissions and high fuel efficiency.
