Volkswagen is all set to launch the sportier variant Tiguan R Line in India on April 14. Before the official launch, the automaker started the pre-bookings for the Volkswagen Tiguan R Line. Customers looking to buy a Tiguan R with a sportier stance and performance can pre-book this upcoming SUV through Volkswagen's official website or any authorized VW dealership.

Volkswagen Tiguan R Line Specifications & Color Options

In India, the Volkswagen Tiguan R Line will have a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, delivering 204 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. This crossover SUV has Volkswagen's 4Motion AWD system, helping it accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds while ensuring a top speed of 229 km/h with maximum control in hand.

Volkswagen will make its Tiguan R Line available in six different color options, including Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Persimmon Red Metallic, Oyster Silver Metallic, and Grenadilla Black Metallic.

The R Line SUV will have several modern technologies and attractive features like a 12.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment system and 10.3-inch digital instrument steering mounted controls, running on Volkswagen's MIB4 OS. This crossover SUV will also have ADAS, combining key safety features like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Volkswagen Tiguan R Line will be offered in India as a completely built unit (CBU), hinting towards premium pricing for this performance series. In contrast, the official price details from the company are yet to be revealed; it's anticipated that the showroom price for the Tiguan R Line can range around Rs 50 lakh. The existing Volkswagen Tiguan variants as CKD units cost Rs 38.17 lakh.
