BMW X3 Highlights

BMW launched the third-generation X3 at the 2018 Auto Expo, and the reincarnated version remain based on the CLAR (cluster architecture) platform which even underpins the premium 7 Series sedan. The aluminium-intense construction makes the SUV 55 kg lighter and more aerodynamic from the outgoing version. The German automaker introduced the redesigned X3 in two variants- xDrive 20d (Expedition, xLine and Luxury Line), and the xDrive 30i (Luxury Line). On the exterior, X3 sports the traditional design language with a familiar long nose and the kidney grille with heavily cladded chrome slats. However, the SUV has grown 50mm longer in its wheelbase and now features 19-inch wheels in the upscale Luxury Line. In the interior, X3 features a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, 3-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and a floating 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. There is also a 600W Harman Kardon 16-speaker music system turning the cabin into a mini auditorium. If you wish to watch your favourite movies on the go, then there is an in-built DVD drive with 20GB hard disc. Propelling the X3 is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, twin-turbocharged diesel motor. It generates 190PS of maximum power and 400Nm of peak torque. The oil burner remains mated to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission gearbox sending power to all four radials. There are two drive modes- sports and comfort for a tailor-made driving experience. The powerful engine can sprint the SUV from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8 seconds. Finally, we can say that X3 is an excellent SUV if you are ready to shell out over 50 lakhs on the vehicle.
