Mercedes-Benz CLS Highlights
The third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class is positioned between the E-Class and the S-Class and is available in a single 300d trim. The new CLS still has its authentic ‘four-door coupe’ lines. With unique styling, the CLS comes with a new headlight design. The headlamps flanks have a triangular design and the car has a single-louvered diamond grille. The front bumper has a similar design to the AMG derivative of the E-Class. Mercedes CLS has a smooth flowing roofline that gives more prominence to the four-door coupe body style which was first introduced in the CLS in 2003. The LED taillights have a simple design and they match the overall design of the car. The car has frameless doors and 21-inch wheels.
On the inside, the cabin comes equipped with features taken from the S-Class. This means that the CLS can be had with a 12.3-inch dual digital display. The air-vents have been newly designed as well. The ambient lighting comes in 64 colors and the center console comes with dials, as well as a touchpad. The steering wheel is multifunctional, and the luxurious cabin with premium leather upholstery gives the CLS a proper S-Class feel. The car also comes with a lot of active and passive safety features and driver-assist hardware. The headroom has also been increased and the CLS is now available as a five-seater. The car has a boot space of 520 liters.
The new CLS is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. It churns out a maximum power of 245bhp and 500Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to an automatic gearbox. It goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.4 seconds and comes with a top speed of 250kmph. The new CLS gives competition to cars like Porsche Panamera, BMW 6 GT, and the upcoming Audi A7.
