Hero MotoCorp and Ather Energy Unites To Revolutionise EV Charging Infrastructure

In a significant move towards India's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, Hero MotoCorp and Ather Energy have joined forces in a strategic partnership. The collaboration aims to establish an extensive network of interoperable fast-charging stations, serving the charging needs of both Hero's Vida electric scooters and Ather's electric two-wheelers.

Hero MotoCorp and Ather Energy plan to roll out fast-charging stations in various regions across the country. This combined effort is expected to alleviate concerns related to EV charging and make it hassle-free for owners of Hero’s Vida electric scooters and Ather electric two-wheelers.

The collaboration gained additional momentum as the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently granted approval for the Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS). The deployment of 1900 fast-charging points is strategically covering 100 cities across India. 

Customers will enjoy convenience through dedicated smartphone applications. The applications are 'My Vida' for Hero's Vida electric scooters and the Ather app for Ather's electric two-wheelers. The applications will provide real-time information on charging station availability.
