Hyundai launches the Venue S(O) + with a sunroof at an affordable price of Rs 10 lakh, bridging the gap between the S(O) and SX variants. Explore its features and rivals.

Hyundai Venue S(O) + Launched with Sunroof at Rs 10 Lakh

Hyundai has made the Venue more accessible to sunroof enthusiasts by introducing a new variant, the S(O) +, priced at Rs 10 lakh. This new offering positions itself as the most affordable Venue variant to come with a sunroof.

Key Highlights

  • New Variant: The S(O) + adds a sunroof to the existing S(O) variant.
  • Positioning: It is priced between the S(O) and SX variants.
  • Engine: Available exclusively with a 1.2-liter petrol engine.

Hyundai Venue S(O) + Features

The S(O) + variant sits between the S(O) (priced at Rs 9.89 lakh) and the SX (priced at Rs 11.05 lakh) variants. It includes an electric sunroof, a feature that was previously available only from the SX variant onwards. The S(O) + is powered by a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Despite the introduction of the new variant, the Hyundai Venue is not the most affordable compact SUV in India with a sunroof. That title is held by the Mahindra XUV300 MX2 Pro, which is priced at Rs 8.99 lakh.

Additional Features of the Hyundai Venue S(O) +

Besides the sunroof, the S(O) + variant is equipped with:

  • Lighting: LED projector headlamps with Daytime Running Lamps.
  • Infotainment: An 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
  • Instrumentation: A digital instrument cluster.

Safety Features

  • Six airbags
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
  • Hill Assist Control (HAC)
  • Rear camera

Hyundai Venue Pricing and Competition

The Hyundai Venue is priced between Rs 7.94 lakh and Rs 13.48 lakh. It competes with several models in the market, including:

  • Kia Sonet
  • Mahindra XUV300
  • Tata Nexon
  • Maruti Brezza and Fronx
  • Nissan Magnite
  • Renault Kiger
  • Toyota Taisor

The introduction of the S(O) + variant provides customers with more options and makes the Venue more competitive in the compact SUV segment.
