India-bound Triumph-Bajaj Motorcycles More Likely to Powering from 400cc Engine

Motorcycle fans have been waiting for motorcycles from Triumph-Bajaj for a long time. The bike maker is expected to unveil its upcoming motorbikes on June 27 in the United Kingdom. According to the sources, these bikes may feature a 400cc single-cylinder engine.

The Bajaj-Triumph will develop a dedicated engine system for this new platform, and there will not be any correlation with powertrains available from KTM. KTM engines are better known for raucous performance and packs higher RPM rush. However, Triumph will focus on effortless riding and strong mid-range punch in all new offerings.

With the larger capacity, this engine will be coupled with the liquid-cooling system to deliver more advanced and powerful performance than 350 engines from Royal Enfield. Bajaj and Triumph aim to take on Royal Enfield by launching their new motorcycles.

How these bikemakers define the pricing for new Triumph motorcycles will be a differentiator in the Indian market. Royal Enfield is already leading the market by offering powerful mid-range motorbikes at competitive pricing.

These upcoming motorcycles are expected to be launched in two variants at the initial stage: modern retro and larger looking scrambler. Both models have been recently spotted during the road test and are expected to be unveiled next month on June 27. Customers can expect the commencement of production soon after the launch of these Triumph-Bajaj motorcycles globally.
