Come December 14th and Kia will unleash the Sonet facelift to take on the compact SUV segment with several best and first in segment features. However, as the brochure of the soon to launch Sonet facelift has been already leaked, we can more or less guess the features that it will get. And after analysing the leaked brochure, one can easily say that Kia Sonet facelift might miss out on some features that some of its competition like Tata Nexon facelift and Maruti Brezza gets. Kia Sonet Facelift Might Miss Out On These Features: HUD (Heads-Up Display)

Although Kia is set to integrate the Sonet with a lot of features that the upper segment Seltos gets, the Sonet will still miss out on the HUD (Heads-Up Display). The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the only model in the compact SUV segment that offers HUD. The Maruti Brezza gets the same reflection based HUD that the Kia Seltos gets. However, this one feature will see a miss on the Sonet facelift.

Kia Sonet Facelift Might Miss Out On These Features: Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay

The current model of Kia Sonet comes with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay only on the mid-spec variants that come with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The higher variants of the current model of Kia Sonet which come with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system gets wired Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. This odd miss match is set to continue in the facelift model of the Sonet too. The recently leaked brochure of the Kia Sonet facelift, clearly mentions variant specific feature distribution and confirms this.

Kia Sonet Facelift Might Miss Out On These Features: Radar For Level-2 ADAS

The Kia Seltos, which sits one segment above the Sonet, gets a radar based level-1 ADAS text. Although Kia is set to introduce the ADAS tech in the Sonet facelift, it wont be the same as the Seltos. Rather, it would be the one that we see on the Hyundai Venue. The Hyundai Venue gets a camera based level-1 ADAS, which is expected to be integrated into the Kia Sonet facelift too.
