Maruti Suzuki YTB expected to be launched by April 2023 and Jimny 5-door by August

Models are expected to be appeared in production form at upcoming Auto Expo 2023 in January.

Maruti Suzuki will reveal two all-new models at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023, which will be commenced on January 11 in New Delhi. The long awaited Jimny 5-door SUV will make global debut along with current generation Maruti Baleno SUV coupe. Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa dealership chain will sell both the models.

1. 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine will be associated to Baleno SUV coupe

2. Thar, Gurkha and Thar buyers will also be targeted by Jimny 5-door

Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door: Launch in India

For the first time in India next month Jimny 5-door will be unveiled but its price announcement market launch and is yet to be revealed by manufacturers. Sources told us that the SUV will be put on sell by August 2023. Reason being Jimny 5-door is taking time to be sold, is due to Maruti's planning to position the SUV as a lifestyle vehicle. Maruti is also planning to make it proper off-road gear. This means we can expect launch of the Jimny 5-door before or during monsoon season, known as the off-road season among enthusiasts.The off-road season is currently dominated by Force Gurkha ,Thar and The Maruti Gypsy. By timing the Jimny 5-door’s launch during the off-road season, Maruti wants its share in this segment. In addition to this, For the Jimny 5-door India serve as mother plant, unlike the three-door version built in India and Japan. This sums up that Jimny 5-door will be manufactured in domestic as well as international market.

Launch date of Maruti Suzuki Baleno-based SUV coupe

A brand new SUV coupe based on the Baleno is the second and more mass-market offered by Maruti that will make its debut at the Auto Expo. Being the production version of Maruti Futuro E Concept from the last Auto Expo, this SUV coupe has been codenamed internally as Maruti YTB. Some of the body parts along with most of the interior will share its monocoque underpinnings, with the Baleno but it will appear with its own identity,and an all-new marketing name. It is also equipped with the same the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine that was associated to the previous-gen Baleno. The Baleno-based SUV coupe or The Maruti YTB are first all-new Maruti modelthat are scheduled to be sold next year. In beginning of the next financial year, most probably around April it will be put for sale.
