Moto GP coming to India by the end of 2022: Official announcement on September 21

MotoGP is all set to come to India as early as 2023, and this comes as a good news for the Indian Motorsports enthusiasts. Meanwhile a MotoE round may happen as early as late 2022.

The MotoGP, the world's premier two-wheel racing series, is expected to be staged in India as early as 2023, which is a significant development for Indian motorsport fans. On September 21, 2022, there will be an official announcement, and prominent representatives from MotoGP organizers Dorna will be there. The arrival of MotoGP in India ten years after Formula 1 made its debut is a significant development for Indian motorsport. The Noida-based FairStreet Sports is bringing the Indian Grand Prix, or "Bharat GP" as it will likely be named, to India. Please be aware that the India round's specifics have not yet been decided, and an announcement is probably coming next week.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, the CEO of Dorna Motorsports, will be present at the occasion. In addition to the premier class event, the race weekend will feature rounds for Moto2, Moto3, and MotoE. A MotoE round may also happen in India as early as late 2022, according to reports.

The sole FIA Grade 1 racing track in the nation, the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, will host the Indian MotoGP round. When the Bharat GP will be added to the 2023 MotoGP schedule is not yet known. Given the high heat in India, it will be interesting to see whether MotoGP chooses to hold the race at night.
