Isuzu D-Max 2024 to launch in India with ADAS technology

Isuzu Motors is gearing up to launch the 2024 facelift version of its popular pickup truck, the D-Max, in India. The new model, recently unveiled in Thailand, will feature cosmetic updates, new premium features, and most importantly, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The 2024 Isuzu D-Max will sport a new 3D front grille, bi-LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, and triple-armour LED taillights. The interior will get a new 7-inch MID screen, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats, USB C ports, and a PM 2.5 air filter.

The highlight of the new D-Max will be the ADAS features, which are based on a 3D imaging stereo camera system. The ADAS features will include blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, turn to assist with AEB, full speed range adaptive cruise control with stop and function, pedal misapplication mitigation, multi-collision brake, lane departure warning, automatic high beam, rear cross-traffic alert and rear cross-traffic brake.

The 2024 Isuzu D-Max will be powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 190 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque. It will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 4x4 variants will also get a terrain command system with two modes: 2H and 4H.

The 2024 Isuzu D-Max is expected to launch in India by early next year. It will compete with other pickup trucks such as the Mahindra Scorpio Getaway, the Tata Xenon Yodha, and the upcoming Ford Ranger. The new D-Max could be the first pickup truck in India to offer ADAS technology, which could give it an edge over its rivals.
