Nissan Magnite EZ Shift is available in India at the price of ₹ 6.49 lakh

Nissan India has launched a new variant of its popular subcompact SUV, the Nissan Magnite, with an automated manual transmission (AMT) option. The new Nissan Magnite EZ Shift, as it is called, is priced at Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base XE variant and goes up to Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec XV Premium variant. The company has also introduced a new Blue and Black dual-tone colour option with the Magnite EZ Shift.

The Nissan Magnite EZ Shift is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed AMT gearbox that offers two driving modes: automatic and manual. The AMT also features an intelligent creep function that allows the car to move at low speeds without using the accelerator pedal, making it convenient for city traffic.

The Nissan Magnite EZ Shift claims to offer a fuel efficiency of 19.70 kmpl, which is slightly higher than the manual variant that delivers 19.35 kmpl. The AMT option is available in all variants of the naturally aspirated engine, including the recently launched Kuro special edition that comes with an all-black theme.

The Nissan Magnite EZ Shift comes with the same features and specifications as the manual variant, such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, LED headlamps and tail lamps, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The Nissan Magnite EZ Shift also boasts of safety features such as vehicle dynamic control (VDC), hill start assist (HSA), traction control system (TCS), anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and seat belt reminder.

The Nissan Magnite EZ Shift will compete with other subcompact SUVs in the Indian market such as the Tata Punch, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Renault Kiger.

The Nissan Magnite EZ Shift can be booked online or at any Nissan dealership across India for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The introductory price is valid for all bookings made till November 10.
